Academic Papers

Academic Papers contain one or more of:

  • Research findings
  • New theory developments
  • Systematic review

Authors are expected to adhere to academic writing conventions and use APA  referencing format.

Presntations are 15 mninutes plus 10 minutes discussion. Submission is by an abstract of 250-500 words.

Tales from the Field from crime prevention practitioners

'Tales from the Field' have a focus on useful experience from real-world problems and the lessons-learned from practice  under any of the conference themes.

Tales from the Field are informal presentations of 15 minutes plus 10 minute discussion. Submission is 250-500 words plus optional media (video, etc).

Specialist Topic Presentations

This track is for short presentations from specialists. For example, 'Design of exit gate arrangements at large events to minimise crime and terrorism risks', or 'Design of late-night  taxi ranks in night-time economy areas'.

Presentation is 15 minutes plus 10 minby abstract of 250-500 words and may also include (optional) visual media.

Workshops

Workshops will be sessions (1-2 hours) of training held on Wednesday the 13th Feb.

Proposals for workshops should be 200-500 words.

Workshops have a separate financial arrangement.

Desktop Training Exercises

This track comprises Desktop training exercises for planning interventions involving multiple stakeholder groups. They will be 1-2 hours long with a short break and held on Wednesday the 13th Feb.

Proposals should be 200-500 words.
